There are so many delicious desserts that can be baked, that it can be hard to know where to start. Here are some of our favorites:

Apple crumbles and the Recipe

This is a classic British dessert one of the best-baked desserts that are always a hit. Soft, sweet apples topped with a crispy crumble topping – irresistible!

Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup old-fashioned oats

3 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 cups thinly sliced peeled apples (about 8 medium)

Preheat the oven to 375°. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate with 1/2 tablespoon butter. In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and oats. Add sugar mixture to flour mixture; stir well to combine. Add melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract; stir until well combined.

Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pie plate. Arrange apple slices over the crust. Sprinkle with reserved sugar mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!

Banana bread with Recipe

Banana bread is a great way to use up overripe bananas. It’s quick and easy to make and always tastes delicious.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup mashed ripe banana (about 2 medium bananas)

Optional Topping: 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed together

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add butter mixture alternately with banana, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over the top if desired. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool bread in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate chip cookies and Recipe

These cookies are always a favorite, with their soft and chewy texture and delicious chocolate chips.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Directions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, mixing until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. 3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake until cookies are golden brown, about 15 minutes. Cool on a baking sheet for 5 minutes; transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Pecan pie and the Recipe

This American classic is made with crunchy pecans, sweet syrup, and melted butter, and is absolutely delicious.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup light corn syrup

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place pie crust on a 9-inch pie plate. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, salt, and eggs until smooth. Stir in melted butter and vanilla extract until well combined. 3. Sprinkle chopped pecans into the bottom of the pie crust. Pour egg mixture over top. 4. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
